A loophole that would quickly be closed if I were to try something like that.

I hope anyone who rides naked washes their saddle after every ride. Is it weird that I think of things like that?

Actually, it is.
I sweat like a pig so it doesn't really matter if I have on shorts or not. Yet I don't wash my saddle.

Yeah but you get on the bike the next time with clean shorts to act as a buffer between you and the saddle.. ewwww

Weird loophole though. You'd think they could ask her to stop for causing a public disturbance or something.

Yeah, she's sort of a combination of Luna Lovegood (for Harry Potter fans), an actress neighbor of mine, and a girl that tried to sell me organic farm shares once.

All wonderful people but folks I'd dread having to talk to for more than a couple of minutes at a stretch.

nutty

I wonder if she would have been treated the same had she weighed 350 pounds? Technically she isn't breaking the law but she is breaking the spirit of the law which is, to avoid offending anyone (i.e. the fake pubic hair etc.) The fact that she has a hot little body makes it tolerable but I don't want to open the floodgates and see a bunch of old, wrinkly, fatties, walking around with their nether parts peeking out from behind their g-strings. She just seems a little bit nutty to me.

Um, yeah, so it's ok if I go the local park and hand out hentai to the little children? After all they're just drawings, no 'real' nudity involved.

lol
Mr Vail makes an interesting point.
Then one can ponder what would happen if she was a he.
However, there is the naked bike ride. How do those folks avoid getting arrested?

Actually, it's technically perfectly legal to go naked here in Vancouver. It's not a loophole really either--the deal is public lewdity[*], not nudity. If you're going naked to make some kind of point, or 'cause you just really don't like clothes that much, the law cannot touch you.

Of course, in practice, the cops give you a lot of hassle. But I suspect if you kept on doing it, and didn't behave sexually towards anyone, and were willing to fight a couple extended court battles, you would become "that naked guy/lady."
[*] OK, "lewdness." Couldn't resist the rhyme.

+1 Typically women who do this have had some sort of psychosexual trauma that causes them to act out. I wonder how long she'd continue this nonsense if some two legged varmint/predator knocked her off her bike, dragged her into the woods, and then proceeded to add to her emotional scarring? I'll put even money on either of two behaviors. She either quits or her exhibitionism gets worse.

I rode by her the other day, quite obliviously until I saw a nipple out of the corner of my eye. I guess a lot of people call the police about her because they're scared for her safety, there sure was a motley group of underbridgers forming around her, and about 5 or 6 cops waiting in the wings. I'm just pissed she's wasting my tax money by forcing the police to be sure she isn't molested. Aside from that, more power to her.

Nah, i wear the same shorts for a couple days at least.
I think we all wear the same shorts home that we rode in with, without washing during the day.

True.. But I may point out to commit the same crime on a guy requires a lot more physical strength.

This is Portland. People in general are just not that uptight about it here, 100 pounds or 300 pounds. The spirit of the law is not to avoid offending anyone. There's always someone that's offended....

+1 Typically women who do this have had some sort of psychosexual trauma that causes them to act out.
Typically, huge numbers of men and women have experience some sort of psychosexual trauma, of varying degree of intensity. To use it as an argument to dismiss someone's POV wholesale is a cop-out.

I'm just pissed she's wasting my tax money by forcing the police to be sure she isn't molested.
Yes, shame on her for asking for it by being nude. Of the 300 or so forcible rates in the city, how many of them happen to scantily clad or nude women? In fact, statistics show that how a woman dresses has no bearing on her risk of ****. ******* choose their victims based on a combination of opportunity and how easily she appears to be to intimidate.

Second, how much extra is being spent on her? (is this is just a knee-jerk reaction? I assume you don't have actual figures) Did she have a say in their spending of this alleged extra money? Or is it a combination of people calling in 911 and police giving it undue attention (allegedly)? If so, put the blame on them.

And I submit to you that how a woman dresses does not correlate to how likely she is to be *****.
