Will you bike tomorrow after tonight storm?

Great Lakes region, is getting roughly 1-10cm of snow...anybody riding during or next day after the snow fall? I may roll out the studs tomorrow just to be safe and make my way to work very slowly

If I get around to checking over the winter-beater tonight, I'll ride; otherwise, I'll bus.

I am not looking forward to sliding home on the summer commuter tonight.

No, the streets will be a slippery sludgey mess and I'd rather not slide downhill.

I'll clean my bike and wait for after the melting.

Yep - but I got my winter beater (with studs) out yesterday :-)

To be honest, I'm looking forward to it.

No snow storm per se on this side of the lake. A lot of lake-effect in the past few days and forecast to continue through Saturday morning. The ground is still too warm for it to stick for very long on pavement. That could change by the end of the week. Still, no reason not to go to work...

I've never not biked due to a snow storm. The only time I sort of wished I'd driven was once after about 12 inches and the roads weren't plowed yet - I had to pedal fairly hard to go DOWN hills, and I had to walk up them. Luckily that was only for a mile then I got to plowed roads. Still snow covered, but that's no problem.

I'm out with a hand injury, but if I could ride I definitely would. Since childhood, first snow is one of the great days of the year.

I'm in Traverse City, MI right now. We've had several inches of snow accumulating over the last few days. Lake effect bands got > 10 inches in a few hours on Sunday.

Well, we only have about a cm on the ground right now....but i was at the local plaza and there was ice everywhere. Once I got home, I unlocked the studded bike and took her for a spin..everything is in fine working condition. I think im going to give it a whirl tomorrow, although I will be changing my route to avoid any and all traffic. Kind of looking forward to it.

I'm seeing 30-40% chance here in Columbus. Which means the salt trucks will be out, the city will panic and we'll get an inch, if that.

I'll ride. Just for the looks. Had a Snickers freeze up on me on the way home last night, stashed in my coat pocket.

We might get snow tomorrow. I would ride in it - but instead I'm going to Vegas for a long weekend!
