Thanks, canyoneagle. Others said they couldn't see the photos, but they show up for me on different computers. Posted them through TinyPic as recommended. Yes, my wife finds my whole bicycle lighting enterprise very humorous, but she puts up with me. She does support my bicycle commuting, which helps me get out the door on the colder mornings (we're in the 30s here right now in the mornings, but things stay pretty moderate all winter in Virginia).

My goodness that's pretty!! Wow. I LOVE the fenders and front rack, what a beauty. Our grocery and kid-toting bike is my previous commuter, so I can't justify a replacement, but I'm GREEN with envy, get it?

My wife, daughter and I rode to dinner the other evening. I had just finished converting my wifes old specialized over to a SS, and I think she will ride more often now that all she has to do is pedal.

Well its official the giant winter commuter is gonna be another drop bar MTB just picked up a used set of tektro levers and some old suntour "bar end" shifters i think they are actually flat bar thumb shifters but the way their set up will work better on the ends cant wait to finish her, should have it done this week

Got a bit of work done with the giant, now its truly yet another drop bar MTB, im really liking how its turning out so far the frame is big for me though i might have to get a short stem, and thats about as high as im gonna be able to go with the seat, who knew im 5'9" riding a 21.5" frame. So far with having to buy new levers seat and front rim all in all im into this bike for a tad over 30bucks, about the only thing else i need is some grip tape which i have two rolls of mismatching UGLY tape im gonna use for now that my LBS gave me, im hoping to have it done by this weekend, as the weather guessers are thinking snow by next wed (doubtful)

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
After what must have been something like 25,000 km that scruffy blue bar tape had to go... thinking that the black pulls everything together.
With winter approaching it will soon be time to hang up a good number of bikes and as my touring bike she has been retired from hard winter duty but I thought we could commute together until things get ugly and then she will be off the to the frame shop for some custom racks.

I'm loving this set up, but I'm thinking about options to change the fender and rack attachment. The bike, oddly, has rear rack eyelets on the top of the seat stays, but not on the dropouts. So, I had to use PB's EZ Speed fenders that attach with brackets to the seat stays, rather than to the dropouts. I also have to use the Topeak BeamRack for the same reason. Has anyone attached a more traditional rack and fenders to a bike without eyelets on the dropouts? If so, how did you do it? I would like to have the stability of that kind of rack. If you have done it, please include a photo and links to relevant parts.

That Cannondale has a mounting eyelet on the rear dropout, which is what the 2011 Dr.Fine is lacking.
QuakerProf, you could use p-clamps to mount a rack onto your seat stays. Alternately, it seems like you could use the fastening bolts for your sliding dropouts as mounting points, if you ran a longer bolt and some spacers.

If this actually happens, it may end up as my preferred commuter someday, so it's cool to see someone else's Twenty kitted out for that purpose.
