I have posted this bike previously but I had the bike painted. Done by Velocolour here in Toronto. Still a few things to do like cable ends, installing my dynamo head lamp etc. The bike is a Masi Speciale Commuter, Chris King headset, Salsa Delgado rims on LX hubs (dynamo), Ultegra derailleurs, White Industries pedals, Bruce Gordon half clips, Gamoh porteur rack, Kenda Kwik Trax 32 mm tires (totally bomb proof), Specialized Avatar saddle, FSA Metropolis bars, Paul Thumbies with Dura Ace bar end shifters and the rest of the usual bits and pieces.

This is my winter commuter, a Trek Portland. Changed from a 10 speed to 9 speed with XT rear derailleur, Ultegra front, FSA Metropolis bars, Ergon grips, SRAM Apex crank, Dura Ace shifters on Paul Thumbies, Specialized Avatar saddle, Schwalbe Marathon Winter tires 35 mm.

Got it! I've never had the need of stabilizing steer on a bike (I did on motorcycles though), keeping the bars straight instead would be useful especially on full-loaded bikes

Some very dirty pics of the kuwie, added a front low rider rack from nashbar, and got bored after work one day so I added some diamond plate to the rear rack to hide some old attachment points I had drilled on the top. I think I'm gonna add some diamond plate to my upper front rack too.

This was my commuter today. My girlfriend bought this Allez a while back, but she can't really ride it. She feels like it's too big and doesn't like a racing riding position and just doesn't feel comfortable in general on it. Today I took it for a spin to work. It's a really nice ride. I did some research back when she bought it and am 99.99% sure it's a 3rensho built version based on some of the details, which seem to be pretty rare and sought after. She got it cheap, so i'm guessing the guy that owned it before didn't know what he had.

bhop, I imagine not many women would like that bike! The reach is long, the bars are low, the drops are deep, the brake levers and calipers need a lot of force. Basically, it's all wrong for a woman.

This is my son's new commuter that I built up. I was going to build this up as my 650b back up commuter bike but I thought it would get better use if he used it. My rebuilt commuter is posted above at 11838. I still need to add the Dura Ace bar end shifters on Paul Thumbies and trim the cables, adjust the fenders etc. He hasn't decided if he wants a porteur rack and basket like mine but it is there if he wants me to install it.
Parts are as follows. Ultegra front and rear derailleurs plus cassette 12-27, SRAM Apex crank, Soma Track Pedals, MKS toe clips, Ambrosio Excellent rims on formula hubs, 700 x 28 Bontrager Hard case tires. Frame is a Masi Speciale Commuter repainted by Velocolour here in Toronto.

Bhop -- Retro road bikes are things of beauty. Particularly like the gussets, fork crown, stem and those long flutes at the top of the seatstays.

Here is my new DeLorean. LOL! I mean Trek Crossrip LTD. I finally got to ride it a little bit today. First time I rode this exact model. Rode a std crossrip to get the fit right and then went for the one I had my heart set on. Really felt good. I upgraded the tires to Schwalbe Marathon Supremes.
I know a lot of folks are down on Trek but, this one ticked all of the boxes for me. I liked the long wheelbase as well as the disc brakes. I pushed the budget a bit to go ahead and get the 105 derailers/shifters. Its also the primary brand the LBS sells so, the service should be easier/better.

lol whut, a car's never done! I don't do anything to my Integra like I used to, other than just keep it up and running, but I still frequent H-T since I joined 13 years ago.
We actually have a Honda-Tech cycle group on Strava, and some on-going road, MTB, and commuter bike threads in H-T's GDD forum.
