BMX pedals on a Cross Check?

I know nothing about Road bikes:

Will BMX platform pedals fit on a stock Cross Check complete?

I have only owned MTB's in the past and I always switch to BMX pedals. I hate clips/straps, I like to ride in Chucks or Vans.

Depends if they came off a one piece or three piece crank. One piece will have 1/2" diameter thread, three piece will have 9/16". You want 9/16", unless you're running some strange cranks on your crosscheck.

I'm running BMX pedals on my touring / commuter bike (Jamis Aurora), so I'm fairly certain you'll be able to find some to fit your Cross Check.

The pedals I'm using are the Steven Hamilton edition from Animal. Super-grippy and I like them a lot.

Those were the exact pedals I have in mind...the Check is still in the mail, so to speak.

I have BMX pedals on my Cross-Check too. Xpedo MX-3. Almost my favorite component on the whole bike - big and grippy, cool-looking. I also can't stand clips and straps or the goofy shoes, especially going through traffic to work.

i have the hamiltons on my bmx bike now... you 'll have no prob with them.... i beat mine up on a daily bases and they are still in top shape... i have DK pedals on my commuter just because of the pins are a little bigger and kinda give a stuck feeling kinda like clips...

I ended up getting SPD/platform touring pedals.
