Of Birds and Bombs
So i'm riding along this morning, a couple miles from home when I feel and hear a loud "THUNK!" on my helmet visor.. I'm like "wtf? did someone throw somethin at me?" then it dawns on me.. "fuuuu#$*".. I pull over at the nearest trash can, take off my helmet and sure enough, a giant blob of bird crap.. right on my helmet visor. It was huge. Luckily I had a napkin in my bag and wiped it off, but damn, that bird had good aim, it only got on my visor, right in the center of it, which is easy to clean so I guess I got off lucky. Glad I wear a helmet.. heh, heh..

I saw that happen once. The guy took his helmet off and asked me if I had any toilet paper. I replied, "Why bother? The bird's already flown away."

Cycle Year Round
Enough of these, bad things threads. With the threads here and in the Pacific- Northwest forum complaining about the cold, head winds, rain, flats and bird crap; it is bad luck that you pass on to the readers.
Monday thru Wed of this week commutes for me, all had strong head head winds, were cold (cold for Hawaii anyway) and on the rainy day, it helped cause a flat.
Then Thursday everything came together in a single commute: very strong head winds, cold, rain, a flat and when I got to work and thought it was all over, I take my helmet off and see a big blob of bird crap.
So now I guess I just passed the bad luck off to someone else here!

I heard that getting slopped by a bird is good luck.
I've been slopped, but I still haven't hit the lottery yet.
