Sneaky peek
OK, so this is surely no big deal to anybody but me, but I bought my new bike a week or so ago, and have been slowly building it into my new commuter. So far, I've moved my Marathons from my old bike to my new one, raised the handlebars and added ergo grips (I hate straight bars). I still haven't figured out my lighting yet, and am waiting on my fenders to arrive at my LBS, but I bought these racks off of the internet. They are quite the brutes! They were supposedly made for the Swiss Army by Condor, and have on them a sticker that says "Swiss Army Bike", which you can see on one of the photos. It is actually the sticker that makes me doubt the veracity of the claim, but these racks are indeed solid and husky. I can easily imagine them handling the load of a soldier. especially the front rack. Since I just got them literally a few minutes ago, but I'm sick today, I don't know when I will get them on my bike--but I hope soon.
As soon as I do get everything put together, I will be posting pics in the Commuter bike pics thread. ;-) I can't wait to get back on my bike. I have hardly ridden since December, when my asthma came to a head, and I finally had to see a doctor. I finally thought I was through the worst of it, when I caught this cold, and simultaneously ran out of meds. :-( Hopefully, however, I will bounce back quickly. I'm rearing to get back on the pedals--and on a new bike, nonetheless. ;-)
