Disc Brake

Im thinking on upgrading my MTB with some discs brakes. I dunno anything bout the brands, etc. Can anyone recomend me a good brand of discs brakes I can trust and that will last?

The Avid BB7s on my '03 Big Buzz are great and show little wear and tear. Of course, that bike has spent most of the last three years hanging in the garage since I discovered 'bents.
Seriously, those brakes have a good reputation.

+1 on BB7's for mechanicals. I run BB7's on 2 bikes, and LX hydros on another. I prefer the hydros, but have no complaints with the BB7's

And they look pretty affordable too. I will then try them.

I have many bikes with BB7's. They're the standard for mechanicals. No tools to adjust, easy pad change, and they work really well.
