It had to happen one day
 

I get a block from the office in my first commute after 10 days vacation, and a week-long business trip before that.

And suddenly it dawns on me that I took my shoes (which normally live under my desk) on the business trip, and never brought them back.

I have all day meetings, and I will be wearing skirt, blouse ... and white and blue training shoes.

Sigh.

I did something like that once. I faked it by claiming that the airlines had lost my luggage.

Just tell then you twisted both ankles, or unbutton the top button on the blouse so they don't look at your feet ;)

See guys have it easier, I leave a pair of black and and a pair of brown shoes at the office at all times and have a pair of each at home, so I'm never without.

I just commute in my work shoes. Rockports well...rock! :D

On one occasion I left my dress shoes, that match with my suit, at work, and we were going to a wedding and leaving from home (14 miles away from work).

I disagree on guys having it easier. My wife has enough shoes to leave a pair in every office in the city and would have enough left over at home to still make Imelda jealous.

Time to shop!

True Joey, but the ones at the office would always be the wrong shade of whatever...which would warrant more shoes!
