People who vent about motorists behaving stupidly
I really think a lot of you need to just let it go.
Ok sure, if the guy hit you, or anything like that, go ahead, get upset.
But people yelling at you? Blasting their horn?
Who really cares?
Yes, their behaviour is idiotic. Yes they're dicks. But why stress? Allow yourself a few seconds of "up yours" then get on with your life. You're only hurting yourselves harbouring stupid grudges against immature moronic people.

Yup. Emotion regulation is one of the most valuable things anyone can learn.
Knowing others is intelligence;
knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength;
mastering yourself is true power.

To borrow from flying... any interaction with a car that doesn't hit me is a good interaction.

Cycle Year Round
I think the psychology thread should be moved to the PF (psychology forum).
Now, lets talk about cycling and the JAMs on our roads.

Some people choose to "let it go" here. I think that sometimes, it's just something out of the ordinary to write about. I assume that none of us is really torn up and in need of therapy over some fool who's already driven home.

Violet, you could change your name to violent and go on a rampage with axe in hand
Some of us commute every day and have to deal with nuts and even close calls from time to time and this helps us when we can talk about it.

I got passed by a HUGE crane today in the rain. I knew something big was coming but didn't know just how big until I saw staring at an axle at my head height. Can I rant about being scared?

I don't think violet understands the need to release said pressure. A forum is perfect for that.

[It's always better to bottle it up and then let it all out at once. Works wonders for marriages.
