Help choose bike on CL
Being a noob, I am looking for a hybrid preferably trek fx series and found couple on CL:
THis is the one of the bikes:

Though it says multitrack but it seems like 7500FX from the picture. Can some guru please confirm this ?
This is 5 year old bike in excellent condition. Bike owner is of same height as me. Asking price is: $300

Not sure how old but it is 7500fx, asking price is $150.
Per ad Bike is in so so condition with rusted chain.
Just curios about bike maintenance:
Should I buy a cheaper bike and change few parts? Is it expensive? Can I do I myself? I have few tools which I use on cars?
or Should I buy a bike with excellent condition to begin with ?
