Do you have to deal with this?

i am extremely irritated- I was in a long meeting this afternoon- i came out and of course, someone
has taken my bike out of my office and hid it. I get it, it's supposed to be funny right! Wrong!
now i get to spend what remaining time i have looking for it while everyone laughs-great. this should almost certainly make me late for a dinner appt i have tonite.

when you find the perp....get a couple of boxes of dixie bathroom cups and put about 2 fingers worth of water in each cup, then place the cups on every flat surface of their office/cubicle. It's well worth coming in an hour early or staying an hour late for the satisfaction of a good pranking.

living well is the best revenge.

deflating all 4 tires on their car about 6 weeks from now is a close second.

Report it stolen. Let the perp explain to security/police that it was "just a harmless prank".

(and no, I don't have to deal with this...my coworkers, thankfully, are decent people and not a pack of jackdonkeys)

One night, my wife picked me up from work and I left my bike at my desk. When I came in the next morning, there was a toddler bike in its place. I thought it was funny. I got to my desk and yelled, "Dear god, my bike shrunk!"

what makes you think they drive cars and not transit users or bikers themselves?
The prank may be for fun only if it's not at your expanse. Bike locks help.

+1 My workplace is a warehouse w/a long catwalk bordered by some rails. I locked my bike to the rail and hung the r/drop over the top of the rail. I'd come out after work and someone would have taken the bike and placed it on the walkway still locked to the rail. Harmless prank, but after a week straight it irritated me. So, I found a new place just inside the doorway. It's off to the side and not in the line of general traffic at quitting time. In over 9 mos not a single event of any tampering. I leave my lock attached to the lock-up place and it's never been bothered either.

I've had similar experiences. This solved my problem:

It's very loud, especially in an office environment.

Last year a buddy of mine hid my bike in the shower in his office. I knew it was one of the doctors but I did not know which one. I group paged them saying the police were in my office to investigate a stolen bike, and would like to speak to them. Tips came in quickly. Trick was on him, I did not call the police. Really really funny.

They leave my bike alone...now if I can just keep them from eating my food that I keep in the fridge I'd be happy.

Do you happen to live on a Beet Farm and have a bobble head of yourself at your desk?

Obviously, the correct response is to move their car.

Now if the real bike was just out of sight, ( not hidden ) That would have been funny.

To the OP, wait a few days, then hide their car keys, hide them good.

Mine is parked just two feet away from me, all day. (Yes, I do understand how fortunate I am to be able to bring my bike in with me.)

I had a co-worker let the air out of my tires, it was after I had pumped up a ball in the office so they knew I had a pump. I knew who it was so I brought in a ratchet, socket and bolt. When he came back from lunch after riding with another co-worker I handed him the bolt from his car with the ratchet and socket laying on my desk.
