Opinions? Anyone own either of these?

I know these 2 bikes aren't really commuters but this group is so responsive. I'm looking at these entry level modern road bikes so I have something just for joy rides on the weekends on nice roads and paved bike trails.

BTW - I'm off these bikes, they stink. now considering Fuji Touring and Trek 1.5.
