I'm Back!!!!

First commute since Feb. '08. Ever since I lost my job in CA and moved back to CT, I have ridden, but not commuted to work by bike. Finally this morning, my new job had me in my home market, gearing up for our Sept 1 launch. So this morning, I dusted off my trusty commuting steed, loaded up a pannier, clipped into my pedals and rode all the way to the train station......a whopping 3 miles. My main work location is directly across the street from another station, so there's not much riding there, but I figure I have 4 locations in New Haven, I need to get around and what better way than by bike. Turns out, I had an hour and change to kill waiting for a train after work, so I just rode home, 22 miles....I have a better appreciation for why i don't usually wear cotton shirts and regular shorts. There's something to be said for cycling specific clothing. But I'm commuting again!!! And I couldn't be happier.
