My new commute (video)

It is only 6 miles round trip, and one day I get to do it twice.

I put some music in it which took way to long for me hope you like. Windows Movie Maker sucks.
5.45 minutes speed is 2X normal.

I was just going around a rather nasty dip in the road. Maybe a little overreacted.

Songs.
Blue May
Emptiness @ 3.30 ish

Binarpilot
Destory the popolution
after the phone call

Last Song.
P.O. box
Bully @ 440 ish
I did a mix on it and chopped the song all up.

I found some creative commons music. I don't have the info on the phone call.

You might try downloading the free video conversion program Super. Maybe convert your footage to .wmv first, then edit in Movie Maker.

Just a thought. I am no expert.

Nice tunes. I love that Southwestern scenery too. Thanks.

I use WMM as well, I installed K-Lite codec pack to help with the smoothness of my editing, it allows me to edit diff types of video easily. Now to just get some of the plugins like Joey uses

That's what they call them. Thanks for the advice will do. I like the simple things about WMM.

Yea you can't beat this commute 3 miles and 2.5 miles of separated road. The main road is over on the other side of the wall. Well I have a rear fender, Ironically enough we have a few man made puddles. Thanks

Windows Movie Maker Sucks
I converted it wmv and it sucks still artifacting, bogging down, won't play, and crash. The effects won't install which is the minor problem.
Tried on XP and Vista both with a 1 gig of ram.
Sucks

I guess I will wait till I can save some cash.

I suspect there was a fix in one of the automatic upgrades that seem to come through the Web several times each week.

Don't give up yet. Mine works. So yours can too.

I use it exclusively as well, make sure your not using internet explorer 7 or higher it messes it up some reason, took me a while ot figure it out. Besides all the kool kids are using firefox :-). If you have them installed lose em. (ie 7 or 8) I'm sure theres better programs but the simplicity and effectiveness is mirrored by none, I've tried a bunch.

If your machine does not auto update, go to Microsoft.com and update Vista. Then...

When you are editing, turn off every program and application that you can. Switch your Airporter (if you have a laptop) Internet access off. Close any browsers. Run Disk Cleanup (Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup) and get rid of any cr@p. Restart the computer.

Now...start editing. Save as you go. Save at the end. Restart the computer BEFORE YOU PUBLISH. Make sure a bunch of programs/apps don't auto start or turn them off now. THEN...open your WMM file and publish (convert) the video. Use "Best Quality Playback For My Computer" setting. Click "Publish". Pray.

Cheers!
