Doh! Bike rode me today...

Today was going to be a beautiful riding day. Started the day in a brisk 15C. Afternoon calling for about mid-20C. So looking fwd to the ride of the week. Alas, about 1km from my office upon going up a steep bridge, my chain just disintegrated! I was partly on an incline and that sudden loss of pedalling momentum caused me to nearly fall off. Only my ninja-like skillz helped me land gracefully.
Of all things, I didn't have my chain tool with me. So I new I was SOL. So had to wheel the bike in.
Good thing is I was entering the MUP part of my commute. Interestingly lots of cyclists rode pass me and thought I was some human-bike pylon. Only one guy slowed down to ask if I needed help. Oh well. Since I was only 1km away, I was just find wheeling the bike in. The morning was still beautiful. The slower pace allowed me to enjoy the MUP's scenery.
Hmm.... going home will be another matter.

You don't carry a spare chain ?

If you have a chain tool you can single speed the bike... unless it is already a monospeed.

So I just bought a replacement chain. It comes with this quick release link. Will it work 65er?
