Oregon Manifest Constructor's Design Challenge
kinda brutal scheduling the party the night before the race, but whatever...
FRIDAY, OCT 2ND
Oregon Manifest Constructor’s Design Challenge Party
Oregon Manifest has put out the call for the ultimate modern Transportation Bike! We’ve challenged custom frame builders from around the country to create an innovative, purpose-built rig for the everyday rider.
Inspired by 1930’s French technical trials, this challenge of design dexterity and fabrication mettle features over 30 frame builders from far and wide throwing their best efforts in the ring.
Join us on Friday, October 2, for a bike-tastic gala at the Oregon Manifest Bike Union. Here’s your chance to oogle each of these incredibly crafted machines up close, meet the craftsmen who built them, and witness the revealing of the secret Constructor’s Race route on the following day.
Oregon Manifest Bike Union : 539 NW 10th at Hoyt : 7PM to 10PM

SATURDAY, OCT 3
Oregon Manifest Constructor’s Race : by Rapha
Start your (pedal-powered) engines! The Oregon Manifest Constructor’s Race serves up 77 miles of epic on-and-off road challenges inspired by classic European day races. Design Challenge builders (or their designated riders) will brave dirt, gravel, elevation climbs, and urban technical trials on the hardman route to Bike Victory!
Three categories of riders depart from a location revealed only the evening before and then ride like hell to the finish line inside the OM event space. Along the way they’ll pick up cargo, accommodate a security stop, and further test their Design Challenge solutions on and off the road.
When the last rider crosses the line, the real action starts: Design Challenge winners are announced and winning bikes will be ceremoniously installed in their designated spots inside the gallery space of the Bike Union.
Come cheer these rugged riders as they roll into the finish wearing some road grime and their best party attire. We open the event space up at 3PM with movies, revelry, and other fun distractions provided by our friends at Wend Magazine (these people know how to throw a party).
