A kid around here has one like that, but in gold instead of chrome--spare tire, fake pipes, the works.
One day I was coming home from the grocery store, panniers bulging with foodstuffs, and passed him on a 4 or 5% grade. He was pushing his up the hill. I waved and kept chugging along. I must have really shamed him because a few days later I saw him pedaling that rig up the same hill. Slow and struggling, but damn, he was doing it.

Couple of years ago, I challenged all my employees on bike to work day, to see how many bikes we could get in our storage room. One kid rode 15 miles on a bike not unlike this. He said it took him all day, but he was damn proud to be there. I bought him dinner for the effort.
