"I'm back Baby, I'm Back!"

Anybody know what sitcom those lines are from? 2 points for the 1st player to guess the show name; character's name & what he was referring to. Well, actually, let's not share what he was referring to shall we?

Anyway I got a commute in this morning and I'm wicked happy about it. It's 13 miles one-way. I had racked up about 1,000 doing it last spring and summer along with about 1,000 miles of joy riding before my biking season came to crashing halt at the end of August due to my work's busy season. Blah blah blah.

I did a 26 mile round trip test run a week ago, and 44 miles on a rail trail Saturday so everything seemed checked out A, OK.

The ride in was cool but lit 6:30 - 7:30 am. The ride home may feature drizzle and DARKNESS 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

I spent about 1.5 hours affixing my new super hi tech Coast Guard approved reflective tape to my bike; new rain jacket; cheap wind pants and helmet. I've got new batteries in my strobes front and rear as well. I even put some reflective tape on my arms and gloves so I can hand signal with a prayer.

I couldn't find any nice wheel/spoke reflectors in my bucket of old removed ones so I fashioned some front and rear with the tape. Hope fully it will do some good - it doesn't look hokey at this point.

My commute time was same as it ever was - 50 minutes for 13 miles. It should be a little longer (60 min) on the way home because of the elevation gain and two very steep climb sections.

I know it was George Costanza on Seinfeld. Did it have something to do with his impotence getting cured?
