Advice? Fantom CX '09 or '10

'ello all.

Car-free a few years now. Comfortable with basic maintenance and savvy finding and following instructions when in over my head. I'm ready to throw down on a new all-singing, all-dancing ride.

Hoping for a little pro advice; I'm just not skil't enough to understand the real difference between the Fantom CX '09 and '10. Just $60 difference...

2009 Fantom CX - $499

2010 Fantom Cross CX - $559

Will be my new one and only, really want to get it right.

Thanks a mint.

The only real difference is a triple crank on the newer v. a compact double on last years.

Pick a color and then figure out if that third ring is important to you.

If you're buying for the price point fine, but I wouldn't go all out for a Sora equipped bike. Personal preference, YMMV.

Agree. The only thing I that I want to change on my 09 is to throw a triple on it for my journeys into the mountains. Other than that its a great bike for the price.
