Any suggestions for dealing with pedal clips and riding to class. I have a set of X3s on my Trek 1500... I don't want to take them off just to put the ole standbys on just to ride to class. I could easily just step on the clips with regular sandals/shoes on... just not the best idea for a long trip... any ideas...without spending that valuable college-student $$$?!?

Haul your normal shoes with you in a bag and clip in!

Wear bike shoes to ride to class? You could take another pair of shoes and change when you get there if you don't want to deal with the cleats.

You could put MTB pedals on so you can walk in the bike shoes, but that requires purchasing pedals and shoes.

I guess people will know that i'm serious about it at least! I figure it wouldn't be hard to throw a pair of flip-flops in my bag and throw them on when I get there...

As long as you're comfortable leaving those pedals behind when you're in class, you can attach Winwood Instep pedal inserts to them. They come in Look and SPD compatible inserts.
