AHHHH I crashed

Riding home last night I wasn't paying attention and got taken out by a large rock while taking a drink from my water bottle. Bike appears to be undamaged and I have some road rash on my right leg hip and right arm. No broken bones though. Other than a bruised ego I think I'll live

Glad to hear you're ok. If you don't already have one for nighttime riding, invest in a Magishine.

That nearly happened to me several times, so I learned to drink only when I stop. My commute route is full of trash and potholes so that a moment of vulnerability. I'm glad it wasn't bad, although the bruised ego takes a while to heal

I had a close encounter while glancing back over my shoulder - hit a chunk of wood and the body of my brake lever managed to smack my thumb hard enough to split the nail.

By the time I got home, the right side of my bars were all bloody...

Glad you survived and I hope you catch the guy who threw the rock

Glad your're ok. I crashed twice on the road. Both time was when I was riding off the road and into a driveway at too shallow of an angle on smaller tires. The sidewall caught the transition edge of knock me on my butt. No fun and scary at the time if the crash.

Yes, and extra points if you're still bleeding. Let it run all down your arm or leg and people really give animated reactions!

I did it to my wife once, out of necessity. I was out riding my scooter one hot summer night. A deer walked out in front of me. Full of adreneline, I grabbed too much front brake, locked up the front wheel, and suddenly the scooter was no longer beneath me. I was flying. I tumbled down the road for a ways at 45 mph. The scooter and I managed to limp home but when I got in I had blood all over my legs. My wife freaked out at the sight of it. (by the way, the motorcycle helmet saved my life that day, and also saved me jaw surgery. The helmet hit the pavement at least 3 times; front, top, and side)
