Help! Can't find a bike that fits and is available.

After taking some advice on this forum I have recently tried to by a bike for general use and commuting.

I have tried for the

Trek 7.5fx,
Cannondale Quick Cx 700
Cannondale Badboy 700

all in the price range £630-£900.

I have been unable to get any in my size. I'm 6ft 6. They have all been out of stock, i've been trying for over a month on and off and have now been told 6 weeks for a Connondale or maybe 3 or 4 for the new Trek.

Any other bikes I should look at?

Thanks in advance.

You're looking at the same time the model year changes. You may have to wait, or expand your search across a larger area.

What do you mean by a larger area? I am willing to look at other brands just need a starting point with bikes that are recommended and of a similar spec.

Because of your height I think it will be hard to find bikes already built in your size range. Also, most shops don't want to build a bike and have it take floor or storage space unless they know someone will purchase it.

I can't speak for CCrew but I took his statement as some LBS stock will be depleted until the 2011 models begin arriving. Also that if you are willing to look in other areas (i.e. larger cities with more shops) you might find something.

As for other models, I can only think of the Kona Dew, Jamis Coda, and I think Specialized Sequoia you might want to check into.
