Witnessed a bicycle accident today

This morning on my way to be dropped off to my riding location, I saw on the opposite lane an car that apparently hit a cyclist. The bicycle was on the ground. Car flashing hazards.
Oddest thing is the woman driver was balling away and hyper-ventilating while the cyclist seems to be calming her down. I am glad the cyclist didn't appear to be injured.

The road was narrow that approaches a wooden narrow bridge. I am guessing the rider and the car was squeezing together to get on the narrow bridge deck. Both got into contact.

Was he using the "grab the throat tightly to reduce excess oxygen to the brain" technique?

She was crying (and you missed the reason) because he poked her in the eye. Twice.

Yes you are right. I think it was a bad break-up episode unraveling before us who are trying to get to work.
Or it could be a dramatic marriage proposal.

Have you not figured this out yet? She is going to sue him for inflicting emotional distress on her by carelessly allowing himself to be run over.

Sadly, it's not really as much a joke as it should be. People have sued for such things. Heck, a while back I remember reading here about a guy who killed a cyclist suing the family for damages to his car.

As we know cyclists are always in the right in these situations and cagers are always in the wrong, it must have been something she did.

Impeding traffic - she stopped after she ran him down, thus inconveniencing all the motorists behind her.
