Best bike accessories for your limited braze-ons
Hey guys, what would be the best accessories to add to a commuting frame?
Links to specific products are welcome, I would like to know how you have your commuter set up. I'm especially interested in less typical add-on's than water bottle holders and mini-pumps.
My story [If you're interested]:
I have two braze-ons on my Surly Cross Check. I already have a hydration pack for my water needs and I currently have a Topeak Harpoon mini-pump attached to the frame.
I recently switched out the stock cross tires for some Specialized Armadillo skinnies and a floor pump with a pressure gauge to keep the new tires in glass-crushing, pinch flat resisting shape. Floor pumps are so much more powerful and accurate in pumping a tire to the optimal pressure. I now see the inferiority of the Topeak mini-pump. I know it's good for emergencies, but it just seems like if I got a flat, I would just take a bus the rest of the way.

damn, you're right. A bell would be useful on campus with tons of pedestrians, or sometimes sidewalks...
but I think I want some sort of loud horn for cars. Is it rude to use a horn on pedestrians?

Bottle cage to hold a travel tumbler for coffee (or your hot drink of choice).
Bottle cage to hold AirZound air bladder.
Bottle cage to hold a MagicShine battery pack.
Bottle cage to hold a bottle-shaped waterproof toolkit/storage unit.
Bottle cages are versatile. You can put more into them than simply water bottles.

Here's a Surly flask/flask holder combo, kind of pricey, though
https://www.webcyclery.com/product.php?productid=16571
I'd be better off with a Topeak Modula and a Joose.

After DST ends (in two days), my wife will start to worry enough about the darkness that she'll beg me to buy a better headlight... hello, Magicshine!
Now that's pretty cool. Not my kind of style, but I can appreciate it without wanting it.
