Northern Virginia Becoming Bike Friendlier

NoVa is already a pretty good place to bike commute, but this is really encouraging.

I still wish there was a way to get across the Potomac River to connect Maryland to Tysons Corner and the Dulles Corridor, but that will have to wait.

I frequently ride to work in Tysons from the W&OD down Gallows Road. I'll be looking forward to any improvements they make. Riding down Gallows is OK, but getting across Rt 7 is always a pain.

If I was transferred to Tysons Corner I'd still cycle commute. The traffic is so bad that the 18 mile one way trip by bike (WO&D) would be almost as fast as the 12 mile direct route. Route 7 is a bit too nasty to join the cars but I'd probably pass the majority of them until I got past Bulah Rd. if I did risk 7.
