    Masi Speciale Randonneur - Tire Size?

    Anybody know the max tire size?

    I seem to remember reading 35... probably 42 if you take the fenders off.

    I can't find info on the site. 38 w/ fenders would be nice.

    I doubt 38 w/ fender will fit. The stock tire (with fender) is 32 but I'm only guessing.
    You might be able to ask the guys at Banning's in Fullerton. I know they sell Masi. I'm not sure who else locally does.
    By the by, the new Speciale Rando has been updated with index downtube DuraAce shifters and Ultegra triple. The '10 model had a double and the Dia Compe "Silver" bar ends a la Rivendell.

    Yeah, I think I read 35 w/fenders in last year's version... and not sure I remember it correctly either.
    And this year they've switched to cantilevers so that might change things too.
    I'll bet the fenders are 45s though, so even if the frame will handle more you'd need new fenders for more than 35mm tires.

    BF member elbows has one and he says even the 32s are tight inside the fenders.
