I will have to call them. I had just extended my order, from an email that was sent a week or so ago, and today got a letter that it had been canceled. I am going to fight it as I already received the front set.

You know they come in orange, too, right? Wasn't one of the options at Best Buy, but they make them and REI carries them. Should be an REI sale coming up soon, that's where I got mine a while back.

For the 3rd straight week (I go to BB on Tuesdays for new music) I have found the front and rear Ortlieb bags on sale. I'm tempted to buy the 5 they have on sale and resale them online for a nominal fee. Does this make me a bad person?

What's better is, if you can facilitate for me, that would be awesomer.

Is it a good sale? Similar to the one they had online that this thread started with because if so, I'd probably also toss you a convenience fee for hooking me up.

Didn't know they were still in the stores on sale. I'll go to a couple of Best Buys tonight and tomorrow and check it out. I'd be happy to report back and do the paypal thing if anyone wants them.

I went ahead and picked up an extra set of front and rear bags today.
Backstory: I ordered some online from Best Buy in January during this big sale but they were on back order for 2 months. I happened to stumble on these same bags on sale at my local Best Buy about a month ago. I bought them, canceled my online order and have been a happy camper ever since.
I was lucky to find them in the store then. I was at the right place and the right time. I went back to Best Buy today for some music and for the 3rd week in a row these panniers are still sitting there.
I'm new to touring and these are the first bags I have ever bought. So I'd like for them to go to a newbie or somebody who really could use them, but I'm not going to hold interviews for the bags. Not sure the best way of going about selling them. I'm sure a few of you want them, so any suggestions would be helpful. I have a set of front and back panniers. Ortliebs of course.
Also, I've never posted pics before, wish me luck.....
Here's a pic of my bike (Trek 7.2 fx) with my Ortliebs that I bought about a month ago. The ones I bought today are shown too, still in the box of course.

So I called about my canceled back order and was told there is no longer a SKU in the system and they will never be restocked, so I am out of luck. The front ones came and the rears did not.

As promised I checked all the Best Buys around me, and they checked in the inventory for all BB's in the DFW metroplex. There are none to be found around here.

are you kidding me? If no one else wants them, I'll take them off your hands, but I'd just use them in different combinations for commuting or grocery shopping as we're car free, so they should probably go to someone who'd put them to actual touring use as a first choice.

Wow thats a deal. I would only want the back ones...well I would want the front ones too, but don't have a use for them at this point. I think some who wants a them in a set gets dibbs over me.

On the other hand, I'd be ok with just the front ones, so both monsterpile and I could be happy. No wait, it'd be better if it could go to someone who needed a full kit.

I bought the rear Roller Classics for $50 a week ago at a Best Buy near me. Just check to make sure they have all the hardware necessary to fit your rack, straps, etc.

I called today with the strategy of killing them with kindness.
While I'd previously moved mine to "extended backorder" to avoid cancellation, I had left my order as a "store pickup." So I called today and very patiently explained my situation, then she offered to change it to ship-to-home for free and check stock.
The CSR said that there was stock coming in on the 23rd, and sounded positive that one would be shipped to my home. So I'm by no means through, but still hanging on...we'll see what comes of it.
Best of luck to all those still waiting to see if BB is going to honor the sales...

I'll be happy to sell them to whoever wanted them. Just send me a PM, but remember because I'm a "newbie" to the site, I can't PM back till I hit 50 posts. So you may need to send me an alternative email address.

Well, last night my wife made some pointed comments about all the bike packages I've gotten in the mail lately, so I should probably step back if I was anywhere in line for them. Unless everyone else backs out as well, then I'll take them off your hands (because I do want them and don't want you to be left hanging) and deal with my wife. So, if you don't get any takers, post back here.

I've had some people reach out to me, but they've mostly said the same thing: "I'll take them off your hands if nobody else wants them".....
So since you were one of the first to reach out to me when I posted this originally, feel free to PM your email address to me and I'll get in touch with you.

Seriously, go with anyone before me though if it seems like they really want it but are trying to be nice (I know there are probably several people out there that just don't want to seem pushy - or maybe not). I want them, but my wife isn't such a fan of me buying all this bike stuff, so you should only go to me if they all back out in which case I'll take them because we all said someone would before you bought them.

I just got notice from Best Buy that they canceled my order despite numerous calls, order extensions, switching to home delivery (originally had set to store delivery), and standard customer service (...or lack thereof...) calls. Of course this comes without any warning from BB some two months after the order placement. What kind of racket is BB running?
Raim77: I'd gladly purchase the backrollers from you if you'd be willing to split them from the front rollers. Though I am certain I am not first in line.

The very same happened to me! Though, I did happen to just take most of the money out of the debit account I had charged it to
Probably my fault, haha. Oh well, I didn't really need them. Best Buy has definitely lost some points with me through this whole ordeal, but I don't shop there often anyway.

Same here . . . canceled. Apparently they took orders and can't deliver now. What a waste of time!
