If you've got a friendly bike store nearby, you might want to swing by with your bike and get them to assess the fit. I rode my bike all last summer with (apparently) the seat at least an inch too high, and way too far back. I actually went in with the intention to find a shorter stem, as I felt like I was constantly overreaching... turns out I just hadn't set the saddle properly.
