New to the forum

Good day folks,

Just wanted to chime in as I am new to the forum. I have been communitng for the past 3 weeks and loving it. My commute is from 13-15 miles depending on the route I take with some really minor hills.

Reasons why I started to commute:
- schedule conflict with my wife as we used to car pool
- saving on gas and parking
- most important reason, is getting fit

My current setup is:

Bike: Trek 2nd District Single Speed
Pedals: Shimano M520
Shoes: Shimano M076
Fenders: Bontrager Satellite - love it as it is removable

I am also riding with a backpack and of course a helmet.

Love the bike but it is not as smooth riding as my Trek FX 7.3. Overall I am very appy that I did the jump to SS.

It's nice to have alternative routes you can take, I've found my homebound commute to vary wildly in distance

Welcome aboard!
