Raleigh Super Grand Prix - Fenders
I am looking to add fenders to my Raleigh. Is this possible? If so, any suggestions on where to get them, what to pay, good brands? I am looking to preserve the look of the bike. A silver/chrome color would be ideal, but I think black might work.
(it's a work in progress, please ignore the duct tape/inner tube combo holding up the water bottle cage, I swear it's temporary)

I have 45mm SKS Commuter fenders on my World Tourist

and 60mm on our tandem:

They are clear PET (same material as a soda bottle); painted on the inside - kinda cool look through the plastic to the silver paint. They are very tough, made in Germany. You need a 4mm hex key and a 10mm wrench for installation, plus what ever you need to get the bolt off the brakes.
You should also consider upgrading your brakes to Tektro dual pivot side pulls - incredible performance improvement.

I had ESGE (now SKS)fenders on my '73 Raleigh Competition. Tight fit with 27" tires but they worked. My current commuter bike has Planet Bike Cascadia 45s in silver.

Ended up going with some black SKS fenders from my LBS because they were only $25. Also, it was nice to see them and know they were the right size. In the end, I guess I care more about saving money than aesthetics. Silver like GMT13's bike would have been nice... I'm sure I'll break these at some point and have to replace them. Thanks for your help.
By the way, I spent over two hours figuring how to install these things. What a pain. I had to get pretty creative. I'm sure I'll be glad I have them when the rain comes.
