$20 Merino Wool Sweaters at Costco

Wool sweaters are back at Costco. These are Calvin Klein branded, v-neck sweaters. I love these things in the fall and winter, so they are right on time.

They didn't have them last season, but they're back!

Sounds like a deal.

Last year, I bought 10-15 from the thrift shop, for about 5 dollars each.

I just use them to ride in.

I would say normal in the torso, a little loose in the sleeves. This suit me fine, because my forearms tend to overheat. The V-neck is a little bit lower than I would like, but I wear a tech tee underneath (Champion C9 from Target) so it's not a big deal.

Merino base layers are made out of pure wonderful, but it doesn't work out so well as a midlayer or insulation. Costco has cashmere sweaters in their own Kirkland brand, which are fantastic cycling gear. They're very warm for the weight, until you begin to sweat, and then they lose their insulating power until you stop, when they become warm again. I've probably got a dozen Kirkland cashmere sweaters, at about $5 each from the thrift shop, and the Kirkland ones are always on the softer end of the spectrum.
