Trek seat bag questions - possibly older bag

I just picked this up from a thrift shop and was wondering if anyone has used one before, and if the slip-in nubs really hold it onto the seat rails or if it had a tendancy to fall off. Sorry about the cell phone pics, best I could do, hard to take a pic of black fabric material under marginal lighting.

It looks like the bag slips under the seat with the nubs sliding between the rails and resting on top of the rails, then the velcro loop wraps around the seat post.

I'd hate to put this into use and loose my tools if it has a tendancy to fall off or to flop down off the seat rails.

I wasn't sure where else to post this question so I figured it fit here in Commuting well enough.

Thanks for any comments.

Mount it up, fill it with some rocks and ride it around. Go up and down a few curbs, pop a few wheelies, take it on some single track. You'll soon find out the limits.

Hard to tell from the pics, but I had a Blackburn bag several years ago that looked similar. It worked fine for me, as long as the velcro part was strapped down.

Thanks. I've got a bike currently on the rear receiver rack of the car, maybe I'll fill the bag with junk for the drive home and see how well the bag hangs on.
