finally got the kona out today for a proper ride ...... still need to tweak the brakes .... i like how comfortable it is ... but the freewheel ticking sound will take some getting use to .... i've also noticed that certain gears are much smoother than others... is that common for the break in period on a nexus 7 ???.. or should i take it apart and add more grease to the IGH ??

I never got the disc brakes to stop squeeling, and the roller rear brake didn't have enough power to stop down a slight hill. I also had the issue with certain gears being smoother than others, and was disappointed by an IGH being so low quality. If I were to buy another IGH it'd have to be belt driven.
Next bike will either be Carbon Fiber or a Rivendell

Sold mine back in Winter. Too heavy, relaxed and unfun for my tastes. My Miyata steel bike is enough of a bike for me

I bought it as a reliable commuter as well, but it was less reliable than my 1980's road bike and not nearly as fun so it just wasn't for me
