Carry your bike upstairs?
I counted today: Subway commute in + up to office + subway commute home = 285 stairs.
Not every day. Depends how my knees feel. How many do you carry up on a regular basis?

up until this past Friday about 14rt. Now though, it is on the first floor and I just walk it up a handicap ramp. How easy is that, I love it.

Dang. I definitely lose, I have like 6 steps into my apartment. 16 if it's raining and I decide to bring my bike inside the office.
I also have the most impractical bike ever for hauling up stairs, so that's probably a good thing.

born again cyclist
my condo building has an elevator, so no stairs there, but the bike storage room at my office is in the basement of the building and there's no elevator. so that's one flight of stairs (14 risers) with my bike at the end of each workday.

None for me. Just wheel it out the front door of the house and in the employee door at work. XD
When I lived in Pittsburgh (many, many moons ago) I carried my boat anchor Huffy road bike up (and down) to the 2nd floor daily.

Resident smartass.
When I lived in North Vancouver, BC, I had to carry my bike up three floors to get to my apartment.

Going to work:
From the Norwalk entry down to the train platform, 32 steps.
From the Harbor Fwy platform down to street level 66 steps.
Going home:
From street level to Harbor Fwy platform (with escalator!) 32 steps.
From Norwalk platform to entry gate (with escalator!) 20 steps.
So that's what . . . 150 steps with a DaHon Curve SL (which doesn't seem so SL carrying it up or down stairs!).
But who's counting?

Five floors, that's eight flights of stairs, about eighty in total. This is in the tropical heat of Bangkok. Then back down again at the end of the day. The ride is easy. The stairs are a pain int the...

6 up every day into the house. I carried it up an extra 20 today, as the elevator was being wonky. I'd carry it up every day if they didn't lock the stairwell.

Not safe for work
Luckily I only carry my bike up a couple of flights of stairs half a dozen times a year. Usually when the elevators are too slow and too full to squeeze on with my bike. This week there was some electrical problem and the elevators were shut down so I carried my bike and gear up and down. We're moving into a house in a couple of months and it has a garage to store my bike. I won't miss the slow elevators or the narrow stairwell.
