Men, shaving? how do you do it?

Alright, so I searched I swear! But I'm wondering for all the men out there, how do you shave (your face)? I used to wake up in the morning, shower, shave, drive to work. I want to get a little more serious about commuting, and today I showered at work. But I'm wondering how/when do you all shave? Do you shave at work? Shave the night before? I'll admit, I'm a more husky guy when it comes to hair, and come 5pm it looks like I need to shave again. I also have a sensitive face, so I usually go 48 hours between shaves.

So how do you do it? at home in the morning? At work? the night before? I'm just trying to re-write my routine for commuting.

I wake up, shower and shave in the shower. If that does not work for you, shave at work when you shower.

I shave, floss and brush my teeth at home, then ride into work where I shower, get dressed and brush my hair.

I shave in the shower at home in the late afternoon when I complete my commute. I ride slow/easy going to work in the morning since we don't have shower facilities at work.

I brush teeth at home, ride in to work, shower, and shave in the shower. It takes some time to get used to shaving without a mirror in front of you, but you get the hang of it. I guess I'm a less husky guy, I only have to shave every other day.

I shave in the shower at home. I don't shower at work, but if I did, it would be a second shower.

I shave in the afternoon/evening at home when bike-commuting, in the morning if I'm going to be driving.

Shouldn't you be asking this in the less manly forums, say the 41 or A&S?

When you said "re-write" your routine, you meant figuratively, - right?

I shave at home in the morning and then shower at work because that's the most convenient way for me to do it. I'd rather not keep a second razor and stuff at work. Keep in mind that there's really not a right and wrong way to do this.

FWIW it might be easier on your face to shave every day. An extra day of growth makes shaving more unpleasant for me.

I shaved off my beard for the first time in 20 years last weekend. I'm growing it back already, after being reminded how much I loved shaving every day (not). I keep the beard cropped very short with electric clippers, two or three times a week or whenever I think of it, and keep the neck shaved every couple of days with a straight razor, just to keep me honest and mindful.

the night before if I remember. If i forget, i'll skip shaving that day.

I keep an emergency razor and shaving cream at work just in case i have an important meeting.

+1 - This is so me!

In the spring, summer and early fall, I'll shave in the mornings. In late fall and winter I shave the night before.

From about early spring to mid fall, I shave every couple of days with an electric razor -- mostly I shave just often enough to not have to use trimmers before shaving. I'm a software developer so looking unprofessional is required for credibility.

From mid fall to early spring I neither shave nor trim my beard -- grow your own balaclava!

Can't shave. Hurts. I just cut it short with an electric trimmer. Lucky, it grows very slowly so I can get away a whole week without this annoying procedure.
