I had some tire trouble on the way home the other night. During the flat-changing process, I tossed the Tirefly into the outside pocket of my pannier; the one in which I keep keys-wallet-cell phone-other assorted stuff I use daily.

I now have replaced the torn tire, but haven't put the Tirefly back on. I notice when I'm rummaging the pannier pocket looking for something, the Tirefly lights up in there. The strobing is slightly annoying, but the yellow light is welcome help in spotting whatever I'm looking for.

I wonder if there's a way to kill the flashing mode on those things...short of Tirefly surgery.

Maybe I'll buy one, dissect it, heat up the soldering iron and...

Buy TireFlare Pros instead: they're steady, not flashing.

Do you think you could attach them to gloves, so that when you shake you hand a little you would get a flashing hand signal. Zip tie maybe....excuse me while I go to the basement and play around with this.

Interesting point. I wear a wristband light for that purpose. Picked it up at Lowe's.
