I did NOT lose my lock! 2 month senior moment

No insult to other seniors but I am 60 so I qualify. Anyway, I normally keep my bike in my office but it has to be out by 5pm. Two months back, I had to stay for a party so I locked the bike to a street sign in front of the building with my Kryptonite Chain, a good one with the orange lock. When I went home, I locked the lock to the sign and figured that I'd get it the next morning. Well, a week ago I went looking for the lock in my office, couldn't find it, and then remembered that I had never brought it back inside.

Of course it wasn't on the street sign any more. I figured that someone had managed to get it off and took it. Two days ago I was riding out of the loading dock and took a look at the bike racks in back of the building that I pass by every day. There was a lock that looked like a somewhat weathered version of mine. I tried the key, it worked, and then I realized that I hadn't left the lock on the street sign, I had locked it back there! My lock is once again with me! A two month senior moment.

Oh well, at least my knees are still working.

A reasonable assumption but no. I just simply forgot about the lock completely until I needed it one day and it wasn't where it should be. Then came the "oh no, I left it outside for two months and now it's gone..."
