That is interesting ... never knew that.

for example I have no idea why that place in AUS is a tourist destination):
You need to visit to and read the interpretative sign to find out ... it is a great story about a man named Pat. May his soul roam the station country freely.

I would like to your bicycle with a building older than 1900.
Nice challenge.

Nice one!

Your tag is a toughie as it's freezing temps here and most fountains have been drained. I guess you didn't say that water needs to be flowing though ... maybe I'll get bonus points for putting my bike in an empty fountain

I haven't been to work at all this week - my kid's sick and my wife doesn't have leave. Wish I was out riding - this seems like a fun game.

I actually spotted a sign this morning that i could use for this tag but was in the car. Will try and get back later today. Around here electronic signs are not so common. Something to do with historical values I guess.

How about this?

My bike with an illuminated Book of Hours (taking a non-literal interpretation of both 'illuminated' and 'larger than the bike').

Maybe we can get this going again with a picture of your bike with a garage door.

new tag: bicycle on a bridge (any size is OK)

old tag:

new tag:

other interesting photos from the day. i haven't seen an Opel Ampera yet (I guess you get them as the Chevy Volt)

I'm really getting into European architecture ... especially high-density housing usually known as housing blocks, estates, plattenbau or tower blocks ... i find them quite interesting when they build a bunch together, number them and paint them different colors.

I have photographed windmills in the outback but never with my bike in the shot. Not too many windmills around here

You know, I hate to be the guy who's a stickler for the rules in a just-for-fun thread, but it was my impression that (a) you had to post a picture that's representative of the new tag if not cull something from the picture you posted to satisfy the old tag and (b) the picture had to be freshly snapped.

A few people have violated (a) unless I missed something, and if K'Tesh didn't just violate (b) I'm in for a huge surprise when I leave work.

I don't think I'm following...the way I understand it is:

1. Somebody declares a "tag" (eg. Your bike next to a big rock)
2. Somebody rides by a big rock the next day, parks their bike, snaps picture and posts it.
3. They then declare a new "tag" - ur bike in a field of daisies.
4. Somebody rides by a field of daisies the next day, snaps a pic ad posts it, calls a new "tag" and so on and so forth.

Maybe that's what you just described but I guess I'm confused as to why you think k'tesh's pic isn't recent(?).

*edit* I think I know what you mean. I am guessing you guys live in the same area.

Yeah you just need to declare the new tag when the ball is in your court. In the local motorcycle version you need a photo of the tag to create the tag. Works fine when everyone is local, but not really good for an international game. Plus it's kind of limiting. I'm glad to see this thread is ticking along. I've been on a camping trip all week and this is my first chance to get back on the computer. I've got no chance with the busker tag..hopefully someone grabs that one soon. And remember this game is about getting out and going for a ride. Please no file photos when grabbing a tag.

old tag: bike and street performer
new tag: bike and holiday decoration (Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Ramadan, Jewish/Muslim/Hindu also OK ... just give me something fun ... bonus points for something interesting)

Sorry about the sniper mode photo ... but I think he'd ride off on my bike ... also, he's the only one in the city as it's 0C/32F today with almost no tourists

Diwali lights - mostly invisible but I take the tag. If Acidfast agrees to the tag, then the next tag is - a photo of your bike in a winter setting (note the frosted glass in my photo? ) - I really like the winter photos people have put up so far.

RATS!! I just got back from making the last tag. Oh well, it was a nice evening for a ride anyway . . .

As far as winter photos go, I could have taken on today on my bike ride on the beach. 70 degrees, beuatiful day. That is what winter is like in Santa Barbara. So, what constitutes a winter photo when it is technically fall?
