2013 Masi CX anyone have one?

I am looking to buy a Masi CX, the componentry is pretty budget, but I think I can source some better stuff over the next couple of months. The Frame is very nice though and I think the componentry will be OK for a while. I think I will need to go for 36 hole wheels but time will tell.
Anyone have one or the 2012 and would you have any feedback? Thanks

I have a 2010 cx which has been a great bike. I've been annoyed at Masi for downgrading the components, but it's a solid frame. Not particularily light but it rides well. The paintjob also gets frequent compliments which is a nice plus...

Yes I have noticed that I will try to get some 105 stuff together if I get one. Do you have a pic of yours? Thanks

Name was sold off over 20 years ago, so just don't think it is Italian.

I have the 2009 Masi CX Speciale. It's been a rock. I changed to 27mm Gatorskin tires and have used it for light commuting and grocery runs. 105 has been solid, bike rides like an old Cadillac ( so very, very smooth,,, but a bit slow to respond due to the weight). I'm wishing I had a triple so I could confidently outfit it for touring in hills.

At the time i was buying Masi had a similar bike called the Randonneur. Kinda wishing I had gone that way for my future needs. Checked the website on the 2013's vs the specs on my bike and they have downgraded the components.

Best of luck!

ratell Thank you for the pics I do wish I could have got a 2009-2012, I will still get a nice frame out of it though, I will gather various bits together, then upgrade.
BoomerTx I envy you and your 105 clad Speciale! sounds like a nice ride.
Here is a pic I found it is reported to be the last Masi to be built under the original owner of Masi, Falerio Masi

That is so cool, now I will probably not come across a vintage Masi, but I can get a new one (US Made) and not feel guilty about changing out componentry.
