Today's commute in was fine -- slightly damp, not too hot or cold. My ass was still a little sore, and my legs a little weary from doing the Preston route of TOMRV over the weekend, though.

Finally getting another chance to commute in to the office today. Nice weather, cool and dry. It looks like I can commute most of this week as I don't see any work out of town for now. Glad to be back in the office for a change and back to my regular ride in. It does make a huge difference in how you feel.

What a beautiful ride in this morning in DC, green everywhere in the wake of heavy rains overnight.
Replaced rear pads and rear brake cable last night, first time attempt at doing the cable. It's fun to try new repair jobs...but I realized I dont have wire cuttters! Looking for some here at the office today, in the meantime I have a silly looking coiled up cable back there.

15C (60F), slightly wet but not a problem, the ride felt really nice. Calling for thundershowers this afternoon but the forecast is currently reading a 5pm storm and normally, I'd be pulling off the road about then so hopefully, that is as close as it will get.
Next week is our "Green Commute Week" so hopefully, more co-workers will be walking, biking or taking the bus that week (and afterwards too).

I had a great ride in. I had to stop one time because my shoe strings came loose and got in my chain. Talk about scaring the shat out of you. Anyway nothing harmed and my 7 miles was awesome at 69 degrees.

Great commute this morning after getting rained out the past 3 work days. We had over 6" of rain over the period with lots of wind and a few tornadoes. Made good time despite a head wind the whole way to work, with temps in the upper 60s F and fairly high humidity. We are definitely into the summer weather pattern here, with southerly winds, high humidity and the threat of afternoon thunderstorms nearly every day. Got my commuter bike all cleaned up over the weekend and actually made it work without getting it wet and muddy.

rainy but warm (18C). Now that I'm in office, it has cleared right up of course.

Almost bought it this morning - crossing divided four lane road and didn't see the one car coming from my right. I think neither of us saw the other until almost too late. I was so close I had to turn my front wheel to the left to keep from touching the car. It was totally my fault but I didn't hang around to tell that to the driver... had to find somewhere to change my pants!

A lot of rain this morning, I was soaked when I got to work. I tried the 'newspaper in the shoes' trick this morning so I hope to have almost dry shoe when I go out in the rain again tonight. I was glad I put my wool jersey on this morning with the temperature in the low teens and the cold rain. The sun should be back tomorow or thursday.

First time commuting since last Monday. I was traveling for work then I used the car yesterday to bring back all of my stuff to work: laptop, large binders from the trip.
I was down in the Phoenix area and the first thing I thought of on my commute there was: "Wow, it sure is nice and flat here!" Not a hill in sight, except the mountains way off in the distance.
Today's commute reminded me of a sign I saw at the base gym once: "Seven days makes one weak" - no doubt. Ugh!

Could not commute in today. I have a slow leak in my front tire. It drops to about 30psi overnight. Never experienced that before. It usually is good or completely flat, never inbetween. I will have to pull out the tube tonight and check it out. Also need to change my chain, it is stretched beyond what it should be. Pouring rain here anyway and wouldn't have made for a good commute. Maybe tomorrow.

I sure ate a lot of dust yesterday on the way home, on the gravel roads. I go that way because there is usually none to little traffic, but the cars were out in force. I did meet a bicyclist and runner traveling together heading the other way, and said "hi."

wish i had brought my camera this morning. 100% humidity. the fog was just a bit below the pea soup level. i was quite dewey by the time i arrived at work. there were droplets all over the the hair on my arms and legs, and everything was clammy and moist. it was both cool and terrible all at once. my brake levels were literally wet from cutting through the fog.
it was quite a sight to see.

This afternoon was hot (91) but it was still a good ride. I made the 7.1 miles in 30 minutes.

Had to bang on a car window to let the driver know that she was passing too closely.

Finally made it in after a while. We've been having stormy weather lately and the wind is definitely indicating that. What a headwind!

It was nice and cool this morning on my very hilly seven mile commute. I made it in 30 minutes and can't wait to ride this afternoon.

Had to take the car today as I have an eye doctor's appt in the middle of the morning. Though I did get out before work and do a nine mile ride and it was nice but it started raining in during the ride.

Took a slightly longer route home last night so I didn't realize that I was riding at a record pace and matched my all-time record (measured in average kmh, not actual time). That felt really good!!
Took a different route today, shortest route to work (my office is on the Laurentian University campus) and then, for hill training, I circled the university 3x, feeling pretty good about it. The weather was mild but very misty as I left home, then as I approached the lake, misty became foggy, so thick I could barely see 10m (yd) in front of me and then I realized that most of the fog was clinging to my glasses so I pulled them down on my nose, like reading glasses, and I could see much better but it was still a thick fog.
Expected to clear through the day. Have a good one people!!!

Almost the perfect commute this morning -- mild temperatures, dry roads and a tailwind. Rode my touring bike -- my slowest bike -- and still kept a very fast pace. I made such good time that I rode an extra cool-down lap through downtown. If I was going to pick nits, the only downside was the humidity is still on the high side and I got pretty sweaty, which was also due to the fast pace.

I also had a nice ride in this morning... fairly humid but Friday should be nicer here in NC. I am not sure about commuting tomorrow calling for severe thunderstorms. I enjoyed riding my bike today.
Today, The roads were also dry. Sometimes I felt slow, I am thinking i should upgrade from my cyclocross tires and put some road tires on my commuter bike. I still had a respectable time today though.
