Non existant ... went out to top off the tires before bed last night and my rear has a slow leak. it got me home yesterday without incident, but it was definitely losing air and I didn't feel like fixing it late last night.
Think I'm hitting the LBS today for new tires for commuting

We don't have that holyday in Québec so at first I was jealous but then I remembered that we have a holyday on every 24th of june for ''la fête national des Québécois'' that the rest of Canada don't get so in the end it's fair I guess.

5 for 5 this week! And I feel great. The nice weather sure helps. These easy summer days feel almost like cheating after all the rough days I rode last winter.

This is the first time this Summer I've commuted all 5 days too. I've been averaging 3-4 days a week.
At any rate, this morning was perfect, cool (low 60's) and no wind.
The wind will inevitably kick up this afternoon but that'll be at my back for ~50% of my ride.

After dunking my feet in a deep puddle on the Greenway I said to heck with it, I'm staying on this path all the way just to see where the deepest parts are. The path parallels the creek, which swells up over when it gets close to flooding. The NWS hydrologic service had it at just 2.5 feet over flood level this afternoon and it surely dropped some since then, so how bad could it be? Most of the way was in and out of about a foot of water, and I thought I had it licked until about a half mile from home just under the last bridge. The path plunged deeper, disturbingly quickly, with the creek water suddenly brushing my knuckles on the hoods. I'd already downshifted - you know, it's not that easy with the bike almost fully submerged. Fortunately I was travelling with the current, and it got no deeper than that but I was much relieved to be climbing out again. Next time I think I'll take the surface streets.

Filmed a Meanderthal in the wild on the ride into work tonight. What do you want to bet that she kept texting as she drove away in her car, after yelling at me for stopping for her...

It was 53f when I rode through town this am. Yay my bike is back and fixed. I am such a happy biker. The cost to fix it was not to bad and the lbs had it fixed Friday afternoon so I made sure to pick it up on Friday so I would have it back. I missed it, I do not like my husband's bike I decided. Anyway a very nice ride in this am and uneventful.

Chilly, 55° and less humid than usual. I could tell because my brakes weren't squeakin' this morning.

I have to go out of town on a business trip today but hated to miss two days commuting. So I rode to work this morning on my touring bike with my traveling gear and clothes in the panniers. One of my coworkers is driving us to our destination, so I didn't really need my car at work. I initially thought I could fit my travel gear in my regular commuting bike/bag, but quickly realized that I would need to panniers to hold everything. That meant I had to repack but that was better than forgetting something or running out of space. With my panniers, I had room to throw in my running shoes and workout clothes as well the usual lunch, work clothes, etc.

A nice cool ride in this morning, 50 deg or so. Trying out my drop bar conversion and enjoying the extra peddling efficiency. This will be my last week at this job so I will be done commuting here and still trying to figure out my new route. It will be an extra 8 miles per day for me and I don't believe I will be able to do it every day. I never go everyday anyway due to work assignments and it won't be any different at my new job.

mid 60s, low humidity - it was nice ride.
The MUP was really dark this morning.. the days are getting shorter.
There's one walker out on the MUP that sheilds his face/eyes as I pass by. At first, I thought it was because my lights were too bright. I've gone to dimming them on the path but he still does it. I may have to ask him - he seems friendly enough as we pass.

67.5F/ 19.5 C this morning!!! Plus low humidity bonus, My first day back in the saddle after a week off. PTO and rain and places to be after work made last week a wash for riding but felt good to be pedaling again today.
new brakes installed over the weekend. It stops a lot better now. I am really enjoying my new tires too. I feel like I ride a gear lower faster gear with these tires. (michelin city)

Nice to be back on the bike after a short vacation, though that means back at work too! 63F this morning and I experimented with that 'keep your core warm' and you don't have to worry about extremities... doesn't work for me, my arms were cold the whole way. I guess that's why it's called an experiment!

Dark but nice, low 50s. Two cars passed me in 9 miles. I tried wearing my Birkenstock sandles this morning, since I have to walk from the bus to my work place, and they felt fine pedaling on my BMX pedals. They are much more firm than the sport sandals I've been wearing. Much better for walking, too. Socks in the morning (allowed in Oregon!) and bare feet later today.
I am finally at 1,000 miles for the year on my bike. Just for kicks I checked out the mileage thread; I'm barely in the middle of the pack.

Yeah! If I could bike the whole hundred mile round trip (84 miles if I went over the Buena Vista ferry) I'd be right up there. But I can't.... I'm hoping to ride all the way home at least once this summer.

I'm jealous, people. My afternoon commute today was in 102 F heat. But, it felt much better than a week ago, when the temperature was about the same. Not sure what the difference was.

73° and basically perfect. Got to do a little mountain biking-esque riding on my way home when I got to a construction site with some pretty tall dirt and gravel lips to climb and a steep drop-off. Just made me want to take all the commuting accessories off and hit the trails.

Guess I am not on vacation quite yet...gotta wrap up a few things here in the office.
Heh heh...what an amazing 03:00 ride in through deserted Washington, D.C. 20 minutes from door to door! Although it is a bit creepy in this office building right now.

The ride in this morning was a cool 45f degrees, as I rode through town this morning. What a nice ride to work blue skies and uneventful. I wore gloves so my hands would not be cold. Yesterday on the way home from work I had to stop at the bank and that took awhile, today on the way home if it is as nice as yesterday was, I plan to ride some extra miles as it was gorgeous out yesterday afternoon. I want to enjoy the nice weather!!
