I did one around Frankfurt last summer for you guys ... just for a quick repeat ...
I started by riding to central station (hauptbahnhof) to drop off my gf at her train.
She's taking the new ICE to a choir performance (she sings)
That 330 means that the trains are rated for 330kph continuous operation (207mph) but they only run at 300kph max currently
I left central station and went by the ECB (European Central Bank) and Occupy is still there
I rode through the shopping area and by a remaining section of the original city wall
and by the police station (I really like the color and texture of the bricks) but the repetition of the building is intense
There's a hill at the end of my commute that leads to the standard 50s-era Chemistry buildings in Germany
after working 30 min, i finished my work and because the weather was nice took the "long way home."
I cut to the west part of the city by going through Nidda Park (which is quite nice to have so close to the city ... Frankfurt is really in the middle of nowhere as can be seen here.)
You have to pay attention for low bridges (1.8m isn't so high ... i think my frame is 60cm alone) but the signage is quite good
the trip through the park dumps the rider out in Frankfurt-Höchst. The pathway follows the shore of the Main (the big river in the photo).
