I'll start:

These pics are taken not at the time of my commute mind you but they are part of my route that I can take. You are looking at East Ky.

Ah, Eugene. This van occasionally changes position, but I've never caught it out on the road. I snapped this during one of the rare times it was parked facing out of the driveway, to capture the amazing Grateful Dead logo on the front.

So...who was the random guy sitting in the middle of the wet road? I didn't see a bike nearby so I assume he didn't wreck.

Not really sure. He seemed fine though.
I've seen guys shooting up in that area,
sometimes you'll see used needles. Or
might have just had too many beers

On the way into town

Almost the same spot towards the end of my commute in two different seasons. Mississippi river is on the right.

In the same vicinity.

These last two are nowhere near my commute but are at the headwaters of the Mississippi (Lake Itasca). I know there are some in this group from the NOLA area and places in between. Thought you might be interested in what the other end looks like. There's good cycling there too.

The lake in the first picture which is near my house also drains into the Mississippi.

This starts about a mile and a half into a 9 mile commute, about half on bike lane'd streets, half MUP. I like the MUP, in spite of having to slow for the occasional knucklehead, as you'll see at 2:51. Toward the end (~3:50) you will see where I get to bypass one of the several hellaciously long traffic signals I would otherwise hit. - The two signals I go through at the beginning were a bit of luck. I rarely catch these two green.

Man, I'm so jealous of some of the scenery y'all have to enjoy. My ride to work is much less interesting than my ride home. I'll have to take some pics next time I ride home.

Clever bit of photo shop. I'm guessing the original image is looking north at Interstate 405 through Mulholland Pass.

Baden, Switzerland. Not much of a commute; about a mile. But the ride home is a bit of a workout for the final stretch, nearly 100m elevation gain in maybe a km. On the other hand, needless to say, the ride into work in the morning is a bit of an eye-opener...

I'm positive it is Photoshop'd

I'm almost positive the original image was taken looking north at Interstate 405 from right around Sunset Blvd. in LA.

Oh yeah that traffic pic is absolutely 'shopped. Repeats of the same vehicles are all over the place.

Now as to whether the road itself really looks like that, I have no idea.

ah yes I remember that view in the 5th pic. I used to take the shuttle bus between the parking lot and the office underneath that "bridge" there. Do you work in the Batman Building?

*edit* WHOA gas is running that high there?? Still 3.2x for regular here in northwest MS.
