Actually, it started life Beef Gravy Brown. I had it powder coated and also added the non-diaper-pin rear brake hanger. The first time I cringed at the idea of taking it off road it became clear to me why an ugly color is preferable for some intended uses.

This "Commuter" crowd is a lot tougher than the "Road Biker" crowd.

Is it hot? Don't know. Can't tell. Take a better picture without pointing your cell phone camera into the sun and we'll rate it for you.

Yeah. I was going to call mine Recycling Can Blue to stay consistent with Surly's color naming conventions but it came out looking too good so I went with Interstate Blue.

It is very reflective. What can I say, I don't like the idea of getting hit while going to/from work.

It's a Cross Check, where's the fat tires? If you wanted a road bike, why not buy a road bike? I know that everyone's hands are different, and not everyone has my good taste, but those bars, the kink in the drop especially has always made me want to punch a puppy.

I like the artistic shots but there's a problem. I sort of imagine myself riding in the environment that's presented and I'm not sure I want to be hanging precariously from a balcony.

gotta agree. looks like standard bike with nothing distinguishing it (not even the tires in this case).

Actually, I quite like the Yokohoman suburbs in the background. It's a nice change out pace from most photos posted here.

I suppose if you're going to be hanging precariously from something it might as well be some place with a decent view.

You can mostly see it here:

Gah..look at those fenders..spacers and leather drops c'mon.

Big points for creative framing/bike placement and more points for having some solid reflective elements!

Not my style of bike, but I'll definitely give you a "hot"!

Needs fenders and some way to carry a load for full hotness points for the Commuting sub-forum.

Is this a submission? Points for location shot, but something about the kiddie playground at that location strikes me as bizarre. No points for that bike.

No Points ... I ride it year round ... we'll see how well it adapts to English weather ... quite well I assume. I'm using a house from a new colleague who rides a TREK of all things ... seems that he could use some education in bikes.

FWIW, the one of the oldest churches in Germany (from 830AD) and was on one of commuting routes to work along the Main.

You ride it for commuting, year round, on knobby tires, and with no fenders? I guess you wear a backpack too, because I don't see any way to carry cargo on that bike.
