Cycling shorts recommendations

I'll be touring around New England this Autumn and I was going to take advantage of the good shopping in that part of the world and buy some shoes and shorts. My Specialized Tahoe shoes are pretty worn out so I'll hopefully be replacing those but I'm not sure which cycling shorts to get. I like 'em with plenty of pockets and baggy for comfort.

Any recommendations?

Also any recommendations for bike shops along the coast of Maine?

I don't know, I've never thought of the Coast of Maine as a shopping destination. I've got to admit,"Free Super Saver Shipping" and "30 Second Price Match" have pretty much made brick and mortar shopping expeditions a historical artifact. That, and I support my local LBS's for the small stuff. Are you going to lug your purchases around New England with you, or are you going to ship them home... the first option is sick, the second one is simply _______(<--insert TOS approved dismissive epithet of your choice) when the store can ship anything you buy without you ever having been there... I like Pearl Izumi Quest shorts. If I want pockets I wear a pair of cargo shorts over them. Shimano MT-41 shoes are half the price of Tahoe's and Tahoe's are not materially better shoes. Not the men's anyway. The women's model is to die for, but I can't discuss my women's shoe fetish without violating my earlier opinion that we tend to overshare online... ...
