Blaze Laser Bike Light

Haven't seen this posted here before. Anyone seen it? Thoughts?

Personally I can see it working better on the rear as opposed to the front.

The 41 has a thread about it as well.

Personally, I think it's a bit too gimmicky. I saw the video- the focus was clearly to showcase the laser, which is nothing but a "hopefully they see me" type of light. I'm sorry, but if I have one light, it has to be bright enough for me to see by and I think anything that is powerful enough to allow me to do so will wash out that laser.

Cats may become a problem, though...

This is old tech. I saw a story of a similar item (possibly a prototype) ages ago. Found this dated 2009

You'd need a line of sight to see it on the ground. I could see lots of situations where the beam might not be visible to on coming traffic. A bright white head light or a bright red taillight would be more effective.
