Copenhagen looks really nice. I flew into it on my way to Sweden recently, but didn't get to spend any time there.
The quantity and variety of city bikes in Sweden was really surprising. Ironically, the brand I spotted the most was called "Yosemite," the house brand of Biltema, which I think must have been a joke about Americans. They offered some pretty affordable stuff with IGHs and dynamo hubs.

no, same bike chained up year round on the square I posted above and it only gets air in the tires like every other bike in the city.
salt isn't allowed as it's bad for the environment/infrastructure. so, sand it is.
in Germany, it's a punishable offence to use salt, not sure about the danish law.

great! do that in the UK and I'll be impressed ... not really ... but it shows that people still don't understand how cheap the US is (with the pros/cons that go along with low costs).

Oh they'll notice the difference between 520 and hi-ten..if they can get their hands on both and FWIW I'd rock the linked bike but I still shudder looking at that mango. Interesting, I found it in the UK for 75 more pounds then you paid for the Mango btw. https://www.evanscycles.com/products/...-bike-ec041519 and one went on ebay for 105 pounds as well.

i don't buy anything on eBay*.
*except vintage '50s Danish furniture.
i think the 520/hi-ten debate is psychosomatic and if one did a blind test (the was properly controlled ... making a hi-ten frame look like a 520 frame) that i would wager that the riders couldn't discern between the bikes above random chance.
i can't believe that a bike company hasn't done this ... maybe they have and came to these results, which will never see the light of day

??

375 it said actually, but you will notice the difference on identical bikes with tubesets that have that dramatic of difference, the closer the level of the tubeset though the less noticeable it becomes of course.. like riding 531 and SL I doubt anyone notices any difference between those two, with the exception of possibly frame builders and pro's.

personally, i think people overrate the differences between frame material within different classes of steel. geometry and build quality really matter as do extra options like braze-ons and stuff, but the actually material IMHO isn't that big of a deal itself if it's all steel.

fwiw, it's pretty much a BSO over here although you may be able to something a little cheaper, but not by much, especially not a coloured FGSS.
