Had a close one last night

I was travelling down a small residential street with my fiance (speed limit 50km/h, we were going at about 25km/h), when we had to go through cars parked on either side of the road. I glanced behind me when we were approx 20m from the cars and saw a car approching from about 200m away. So I figured, take the lane and we should pass the parked cars in enough time without holding this person up. Just to be safe I glanced back again as we were about to go through, and lo and behold the person blew past us. We had to slam on the brakes and swerve to avoid being hit and then powered up to give chase*. The woman was clearly speeding to have gained ground that quickly and she made it to the end of the street PDQ too. We nearly caught her at the end of the street which is a T-intersection that turns into a 3 lane busy road and would you know it she screeched round the corner, barely stopping to check, straight into oncoming traffic.
She probably didn't want to talk to us...

*I wouldn't have given chase if I wasn't with my fiance, as I've mentioned in another post I'm waaay too little to go defending myself against people like that. He's a more than a foot taller than me and much more scarey looking
