When I punch in my weight with gear it tells me to inflate my front tire to 64psi @ 23mm... I put 110-120 in my front, nearly double. I guess I prefer shooting rocks @ people over flatting out. I like my tires hard on my road bikes.

On my commuter/gravel grinder I inflate to somewhere in between what the sidewall says.

Hmm, you weigh about 160 lbs, including the bike? Do whatever works!

Alot of these calcs and charts don't take into consideration that manufacturers make tires of the same size for different functions. I was in a nice flame war with another poster who claimed Specialized was stupid for making a 28mm tire with a range of 115-125psi on the sidewall. I run them at 115fr/120r on my Defy and they work great. They give me road tire performance but with extra width.

291 miles a week sounds like too many waking hours spent cycling, to me, regardless of whether or not you can manage it.

The e-bike aside... for the same $5800 you can buy a nice new 250cc motorbike or scooter and get to work in half an hour, and it will have the range. Or a used one and all the gas it will ever need.

Drop the pressure to 80/90 for a week and see if you can tell a difference. Read up on suspension losses and experiment, I think you'll find a "comfort zone" at much lower pressures. http://janheine.wordpress.com/2012/0...ension-losses/
